COMMUNITY ART  brings people together to create art as a cooperative group.  
Projects include murals and concrete sculpture for play, seating and visual impact.  

PROCESS
  •  Identifying the best project for the greatest positive effect. 
  •  Generating and brainstorming ideas. 
  •  Creating a design and work plan. 
  •  Building the project. 
  • Completion, promotion and celebration. 
 
COMMUNITY ART  projects strengthen individual neighborhoods and to promote better relationships between groups of people.

OBJECTIVES AND GOALS
  • To enhance community pride through site specific art projects.
  • To engage children, teens, adults and families in improving their neighborhood and surrounding public space.
  • To promote environmental awareness and respect for a shared environment.
  • To develop skills in design and planning and competency in working with various art and building materials.
  • To build upon successful experience with further projects of change.

ELLEN ALT has organized community art projects in the United States, India, England, China and Israel.   Projects have been commissioned by a wide range of organizations and foundations. (see bio for details).
Ms. Alt is also an established artist. Her mixed media artwork is internationally exhibited.
